Post Gameplay patch released
Patch highlights include:

Non-disappearing people and cargo when upgrading streets or stations
An option to explicitly select a line’s track/terminal at stations
Less collision problems thanks to much better terrain alignment handling
An upgrade to ships so that they can carry more than one type of cargo
Tunnels actually cut the terrain so that you can see through
Waypoints for street vehicles
Unload only feature for vehicles
Colored vehicle icons in the line manager
Confirmation dialog when bulldozing large structures
Line break feature for construction parameter windows
Many additional improvements, bug fixes and new modding options…

Please find the complete release notes >here<.

Be assured that Transport Fever development continues, with a next focus on late game performance.

Thanks a million for your interest in the game and all the best from the Urban Games team!

Post Re: Gameplay patch released
Ah yes, all wonderful additions, polish, tweaks, and such, BUT (you knew this was coming, right?), this feature:
"Confirmation dialog when bulldozing large structures"
seems to have messed up their very own "No Costs" mod. Not a big deal for those who are into just the game play aspect, but for people like me, who grew bored with getting my Transport Company to earn millions, (over and over and over again, yawn) and use the game to design flamboyant layouts using any and all mods to further this endeavor, it is game breaking.

When starting a new map, the first thing I do is redesign the squirrelly road layouts the towns use into something a little more realistic, however with the official "No Cost" mod partially screwed up, it costs a fortune to demolish single buildings. It still costs nothing to demolish very large structures, like say, entire city blocks, but anything smaller than that still costs money.

The rest of the changes made by the update are wonderful, great, or "it's about time", whichever viewpoint you want to take there. I am glad they fixed the "disappearing people and cargo when upgrading streets or stations" and "collision problems thanks to much better terrain alignment handling" (towns building on your tracks).

Well, there is another thing which is messed up: "Less collision problems"...

I tried dozen things and I can say that I have more collision problems then before the patch.

And... we still don't have drivers in cars...

And... we still have traffic jams on 6-lane streets in early 70's (game start year: 1950)...
